Tell about the worst winter storm that you can remember as a child.
I lived in Southern California for a lot of my childhood years, so there wasn't a whole lot of winter storms.
When we lived in Alameda we had a winter that was heavy with rain. We lived in an area that was prone to flooding and it rained so much one night that we couldn't leave the area except through to drive through an army base under the watchful eyes of the Military Police-one car at a time. We had to wait hours for the flooding to go down. It was quite the adventure, especially watching the big rigs get stuck on the street because there was too much water to drive through.
